I hold contests in a forum and I'm someone who's pretty strict when it comes to fair play. I can't stand it when someone cheats just to win, participating and learning is much more important (not to mention fun =D) than winning. Yes, yes, winning is ab-so-lu-te-ly amazing, yet participating can be just as amazing. Now, my problem is that because I'm quite strict, some (the participants) don't agree with my view on deciding whether you're cheating or not. The contest rules clearly state "you cannot ask for votes (not in any way)". Some participants post the link to the voting topic in their chat topics with "have you voted yet?" and I consider this cheating as the person who has been asked that question will most likely vote for that participant. The thing is that one participant said: "well, they are the ones who decide who they are voting for". I completely agree, yet I do feel that when you're asking someone if they have voted yet, that person will vote for you. Ok, let me explain the random title to this blog. Haha. Last night, I had this idea for one of my essays (it's basically on your fav. things) and I thought, why don't I use the quotations/common sayings that I collected over the years and make that an essay somehow? =) And that's exactly what I did! I had two or three quotations that I liked throughout the years and used them on the essay. I really liked how that turned out ... so I'm pretty happy with it, as well as with this first entry! Before I go on though, I’d like to thank Ellen for making this new layout…who knows where I was then? =( I really should have updated a lot more instead of just during the summer time. Even now, the summer, I still can’t update often or even once per week because of my commitments to summer school and university applications. I’ll be grade 12 next year unfortunately …sigh…

Ok, let me explain the random title to this blog. Haha. Last night, I had this idea for one of my essays (it’s basically on your fav. things) and I thought, why don’t I use the quotations/common sayings that I collected over the years and make that an essay somehow? =) And that’s exactly what I did!
